Seed of Light

This is an image that came to me during a gratitude meditation.

In the meditation the teacher asked us to envision the things blocking our heart and then guided us to plant a seed of light deep in our heart. When I did this an image of a beautiful strong sunflower growing out of my heart appeared to me. The sunflower acted as a shield blocking the heart from all of the noise of the world.

After appreciating the image I tried to move on from it but I couldn’t. So I sat with it a bit longer because I knew it held a message for me.

I am still trying to understand it’s full meaning but to me it symbolizes the importance of blocking out the noise so we can give space for the beautiful things in our hearts to bloom.

If you look closely you will see the seed of light in the heart.
